Workshop AV in Digital Humanities

13 04 2014

During the Digital Humanities Conference 2014 in Lausanne (8-11 July), a workshop is organised to address the challenge of using audiovisual material in the Digital Humanities. The amount of AV material is growing, the use of it as a source for DH research is lagging behind. Part of the workshop is open to presentations which address the potential of applying DH approaches to audiovisual data and best practices in doing so. More info in the Call for Papers. Deadline for submission is 16 May.

Guest speakers about creativity and management, management and media, and successful productions. Discussions about our methods and aims, and about the companies to research. Next: some preliminary interviews. Looking forwards to actually getting started with that!

EUscreenXL research

23 07 2013

Just this morning I sent out reminders to contribute to our EUscreenXL research. It’s an exiting project, following up on EUscreen, the development of a portal that makes available European television history. Our first focus groups, individual interview and team discussion have raised plenty of questions and challenges for further development of the portal. Feel free to take a look and share your thoughts.
